Bachelor of Science(Science) and Possible Areas of Employment


The Bachelor of Science degree is unique due to its scientific emphasis. It is built on a solid foundation on core areas in science.

It is very versatile hence provides students with an optimal balance between a defined sequence of study and flexible course options.

You can specialize in either the physical sciences or the biological sciences. The Physical sciences has fields in Physics and Chemistry. The biological science is divided into zoology and botany. Math is on the border, it can be a science or an Art, depending on how the University categorizes it.
The categories within Math include Applied Math, Statistics and Pure Mathematics.

The degree can create plenty of opportunities and open many doors but where the degree leads to depends upon ones interest. Firms that require solid background knowledge in science are major employers.

One can work in research areas in firms, universities, government among others. Teaching in high schools is also possible e.g Biology, Chemisty and Physics subjects. Non-Science areas e.g business and marketing also employ these graduates where they offer expertise in scientific application and analysis.
