Biology has played a vital role in our understanding of the environment and its inhabitants i.e plants, animals and micro-organisms. It is therefore essential in a wide variety of industries

The four year course is a stepping stone for various career options in (but not limited to):-

• Biotechnology firms
• Government agencies e.g KWS, NEMA and ministries e.g agriculture
• Scientific Writing/Journalism
• Research institutions and Universities
• Teaching in high schools

One can also gain employmment in other areas requiring qualification in the biological field. It is also a springboard for further education.
The course is offered in the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta, Egerton and others
